Teens for Streams
Teens for Streams was founded in 2019 as a way to get kids outside to both enjoy and take responsibility for the amazing outdoor spaces and watersheds we sometimes take for granted in Western North Carolina.
Teens for Streams Accomplishments
As a group we have cumulatively removed over 1000 pounds of garbage from our area streams and rivers and logged over 500 volunteer hours on cold water resource projects. We have also partnered with Trout Unlimited (both the National Organization through the Youth Leadership Council and one of our local chapters Land O’ Sky) and members have worked with the Great Smokies National Park on stream initiatives.
